Straight out of Thomasville N.C., a talented rapping, acting, dancing, beat maker and counselor named “Punkin” better known as “ItsPuNkinBitch” was born. Raised by her grandparents Marcella and L.C. Flowers She was shown love was able to continue being a giving person to others. No Stranger to the stage or being in the front of the class she has been a leader since day one. Getting her name from her mother and family who used to call her “Punky Bruster” because she like the cartoon so much and would be up before any adult in the house just to watch her show soon realized “Punky Bruster” was growing up so they shortened it to Punkin. Punkin stated “I have love music since day one really noises attracted me and how they sound together I’m a very eclectic person.” Punkin began rapping and writing at about age 8. Though she knew music was her passion she always kept it in perspective that it was a dream just like her thoughts of being in the WNBA which she came close

Punkin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology. Performing at a high standard in college she graduated Summa Cum Laude and also became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority while attending school. Other motivator’s came from Admiring rappers like “Queen latifah, Mc lyte, Krs 1, Noriega, and more current artist such as Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Jay Z…. and the list continues also the fact that she thrives in doing the impossible. Punkin would “spit” a rhyme at the drop of a dime for anyone who wanted to hear, or act as if she could not perform and be respected by other mc’s . Often times when Punkin would began to “Spit her flow” Male mc’s would bow down and not even want to go in after her. She noticed when being introduced at local clubs or for shows that she would sign up that even if she wrote her name down they would still somehow call her “Pumpkin”. In an effort to make them understand that the way they were saying her name is incorrect she began to scream out “ItsPuNkinBitch”. The saying became catchy and everywhere she went people would just scream it out at her and once she performed everything was memorable. Punkin has won local radio station battles at 102.1 Jamz and has been in several artist competitions that she won. Punkin is making history and will be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the music industry. As she stated “I’m in no rushed to get signed it would be cool but this independent money is just that independent and I am very business minded. I’m not looking to owe anyone. My goal is to continue to put God first make sure I am comfortable along with my family the rest well, it just comes with the territory. I also want make you dance, make you cry, let someone know that they are not alone. If I can make someone smile, have a good time or feel comforted by my music then I’m happy.
