Undressed: Vol. 1 – “Gucci Garden”

“Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.” —Bill Cunningham

Hola! Como estás?

What’s the tea???? My name is Brandon Karson & I am an actor, model and now, a fashion blogger. At this point, I’m guessing that you’re wondering what I’m doing here, writing about fashion? I want to give you a little bit of what I know on fashion and its many seasons. When I tell you it goes there, we’re gonna go there, people! From your favorites, to my worst, from my Balmain rants to your Christian Louboutin conundrums…this is going to be a GREAT time! Yaaaas! So enough of this introduction and whatnot.

I was first introduced to the world of fashion when I was about twelve or so. I would actually mimic my big brother’s style (yes, I’m finally admitting to it) and then just put my own spin to it. I grew away from that and really ventured into what I really liked and how I really saw things in my eyes. I’d use fashion as armor, to shield me from what the world thought of me. I remember doing this history project on THE Guccio Gucci! Yep, you guessed it, creator of the major high-end label we know today as Gucci. I really delve into his life, his creations, his thought process behind his collections. I realized how much his legacy had been passed down through so many different, amazing creative directors. Gucci’s current creative director is Alessandrio Michele who I absolutely LOVE!

The label’s 2016 Pre-Fall Collection, “Gucci Garden”, makes us want to gaaaaaag…in a good way! Once again, the mainstream fashion house continues to evolve its garments and accessories while keeping their aesthetics alive and true through each piece. By infusing shades of orange, red and pink (all apart of 2017’s Spring/Summer color pallet), and pairing it against black and white; you cannot help but fall completely in love with this modern yet bohemian collection. We are literally in love with the “Dionysus” shoulder bag! Its chic & petit structure gives the bag an edgier appeal, but it’s the classic gold hardware that truly melts your heart. Simply put, Gucci has YET to disappoint! For more on this collection and everything Gucci, it’s available for purchase online, along with the Director’s Cut of the collection’s short film.

So, this is me…in front of all of you. All my thoughts and all my opinions on fashion’s biggest and brightest…and even not so bright. All in all, it’s done with peace, love & Prada.
