Hard. Black. Truth.
What do you get when you put a Social Activist, a Preacher, a Military Vet, a Butch Queen, a Drag Queen and a Transgender FTM in a pot and shake ’em up? You get “The Dingalogues“, an original stage dramedy written and produced by Atlanta’s own theatrical elite.
Five men came together to write a cathartic piece that is loosely and firmly based on each of their lives. Through carefully crafted monologues and dialogues, they give voice to a silence segment of our society— Same Gender Loving (SGL) men. The Dingalogues celebrates the full array of black gay men from masculine to feminine, whose mindsets have been shaped by their experiences. Each man must come to term with himself and learn the true meaning of empathy.

This theatrical piece was written to provoke conversation in and out of the LBGT community and to inspire audiences to engage in acts of compassion that tear down walls of separation and empower all people to stand boldly in their truth. The hope is to finally nail the coffin shut on what is deemed “unnatural” or “unacceptable.”
