OCTET Productions, a DC based film production company, announces the debut release of its new holiday film franchise, “A Wesley Christmas Wedding.”
To kick off BET’s holiday-themed programming, “A Wesley Christmas Wedding” premiered on BET+ on November 2nd and now that the SAG-AFTRA strike has come to an end, the cast can now celebrate its release!
The Wesley family gets back together, with siblings Chris (Kevin Savage; HUSH), Todd (Terayle Hill; Step Up), and Cydney (Loren Lott; Praise This) traveling to their childhood home in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the Christmas holiday with their parents Bryan (Dorien Wilson; The Parkers) and Sylvia (Jasmine Guy; Harlem) all the while, preparing for a wedding. Upon their arrival, family drama ensues, with one momzilla and two crazed exes, all before the betrothed couple says, “I do.”
“We wanted to bring laughter and warmth back to our audience, and it couldn’t have come at a better time after a few trying months navigating through difficult and unfamiliar waters with the Hollywood strike,” said co-producers Chuck and Bree West. “As the page turns, we’re filled with hope and excitement again for what’s ahead and to finally be able to honor the celebrate the exceptional talent in this film.”
The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Terrence “TC” Carson, Judi Johnson, Rolonda Rochelle, Kiki Haynes, Mike Merrill, Sydney Mitchell, Adara Lowery, Loren Lowery, with Aaron D. Spears, and Valarie Pettiford, featuring a performance by Grammy award-winning artist, Elle Varner.
“A Wesley Christmas Wedding” is directed by Patricia Cuffie-Jones, co-written by Bree West and Chazitear, who also co-produced the film with the dynamic husband and wife team Chuck and Bree West, the film’s producers.
