PURE Atlanta, “a high-end men’s contemporary boutique,” according to rolling out, plans on adding a bridged gap between hip-hop and fashion. On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Atlanta-based boutique, in partnership with One Grand Gallery will host a Ready To Die-themed line of COOGI clothing that represents their principles in connection to what Biggie Smalls stood for; reflect, honor, inspire and evolve.
“We have been looking for opportunities to celebrate art and fashion, and COOGI presents the perfect opportunity for us to start initiating projects in that space, says the boutique owner, Liz Korn, “we are longtime supporters of the authentic hip-hop community; past and present.”
The launch, which takes place in Lenox Square Mall, will feature the Ready To Die pieces that honors the Notorious B.I.G. In addition to a musical set, special guest Jamal Woolard – the actor who portrayed Biggie in the 2009 film, Notorious – will deliver a special presentation.
This is dope. It definitely can open doors for other artists that have made brands more popular.
