Svengali

Jerell Safford, professionally known for his stage name Svengali was born (August 4,1995) in Cleveland OH. Adopted at a young age, Svengali began life with a sense of not belonging.

Always having the energy and ability to strive to be great while always being told what he can and can’t do, he began a downward spiral into a sense of adaptation, suppressing his urge to excel and standout, while standing in. Unbeknownst to the world, through adaptation, Svengali not only gained a better understanding of his surroundings, but he knew once you make a mistake or are approached by an obstacle, you must learn from it and plan for such contingencies.

Svengali has given Jerell not only a voice but a platform to be able to show the world that we must go on. No matter the struggles or how hard it is. When we give up, we aren’t giving up on anyone as much as ourselves. We are both unique and alike individuals and should not and shall not feel suppressed or not allowed to be who they are beyond the surface.
