A Unique Experience at RenderATL
Attending RenderATL in Atlanta was an eye-opener and an absolute joy. From the moment I stepped into the venue, it was clear that this was not your average IT conference. RenderATL felt like home—a vibrant, culturally rich, and welcoming environment that stood out from the traditional tech events I’ve attended over nearly a decade in the industry.
A Culturally Rich Atmosphere
As an African American in tech, it was particularly refreshing to be in a predominantly Black city and see leaders in technology who looked like me. The atmosphere at RenderATL was vibrant and lively, filled with a sense of community and belonging that I hadn’t experienced at other conferences. It was a space where the synergy between tech and culture was palpable and celebrated.
Top-Notch Organization and Representation
RenderATL was not only culturally appropriate but also incredibly well-organized and authentic. The event was supported by major companies like Uber, Intuit, Google, and many more, showcasing the influence and presence of leading tech giants (Render 2025 | June 11 – 13, 2025)(CentennialParkDistrict.com).
The Swag Shop and More
One of the first things that caught my eye was the amazing swag shop. Filled with items from a vendor named “Dress Code,” the shop perfectly embodied the synergy between tech, hip hop, and streetwear. I had no problem spending money to support a brand that resonated so deeply with the conference’s vibe. The greeters at the entrance were warm and engaging, even after days of the conference, setting a positive tone right from the start.
Engaging Activities and Giveaways
The main exhibit hall was a playground for tech enthusiasts. Unique opportunities to engage with vendors included arcade-style basketball, chess, Mario Kart (a personal favorite), and even a claw machine with prizes. The giveaways were plentiful, with free shirts that were a big hit—not just because they were free, but because they were well-designed and a testament to the power of branding (Render 2025 | June 11 – 13, 2025) (ajc).
Dynamic Speakers and Sessions
RenderATL featured a diverse lineup of over 200 industry-leading speakers and workshops covering cutting-edge topics like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Design Systems, and Developer Testing. Notable speakers included Shannon Sharpe, who spoke on organizational leadership, and DJ Pee .Wee (aka Anderson .Paak), who added a musical flair to the event (Render 2025 | June 11 – 13, 2025) (CentennialParkDistrict.com).
Looking Forward to Next Year
Overall, my experience at RenderATL was beyond positive. The conference was a perfect blend of professional education, cultural celebration, and community building. I’m already excited to grab my ticket for next year and highly recommend RenderATL to anyone interested in experiencing what Atlanta has to offer in the tech scene.
