Ms. Mohammed has dropped her latest video in support of her acclaimed EP, “Alibi”. Pandora, which premiered recently, exclusively via Louder Than War is a bluesy, snare-heavy rocker that encapsulates Ms. Mohammed‘s defiant vision.
Louder Than War lauded Pandora as “anthemic battle-cry” while declaring it an “intoxicating indie-rock masterpiece”. Pandora follows up the similarly gritty video for Alibi’s title track, which came out late last year.
Ms. Mohammed elaborated on the context behind the Pandora visual:
“The video features women/femme identified non-binary artist and activist friends of mine; all with personal experiences of femme-phobia and were keen to appear, based on the themes addressed both in song and video. We danced like the patriarchy has ended.”
With this video, Ms. Mohammed is once again set to challenge preconceptions with another intoxicating indie-rock brew. Pandora sees Ms. Mohammed embracing the female empowerment message which is dominating 2018’s headlines.
