Renowned Visual Artist Michael Coleman aka JiggyKorean, is set to unveil his highly anticipated solo art exhibit at Rock Steady on Monday, July 24, 2023. Showcasing a dramatic portrayal of imagination as humans, this immersive exhibition promises to play on the emotions of art enthusiasts’ and collectors’ most memorable moments in life.
“I Know Someone Like You” Art exhibition marks JiggyKorean’s third solo exhibit in Atlanta, GA since he relaunched his career as an artist in 2017. The seven-piece collection titled “Shadow Puppets” is curated to jog people’s memories and revisit their life journey timeline. The goal is to identify what emotions you feel when you view the art. Are you triggered by politics, love, fear, your belief system, or your past? These are the types of questions the audience will immediately ask themselves while viewing JiggyKorean’s newest collection.
“The world is changing fast, you have to keep up,” says JiggyKorean. “It’s a lot of distractions, so you must hold onto your integrity and originality. But you must always enjoy your time here.”
The exhibition will be held at Rock Steady, one of Atlanta’s most celebrated venues that highlight culture, arts, and travel. Since the debut of his original work at the venue in 2019, JiggyKorean has become one of Atlanta’s most sought-after artists. “I chose this venue for this year’s exhibit because this is where it all started”, says JiggyKorean. “Some of my most coveted and celebrated work has been featured by Rock Steady since 2019. I am thankful for the support of Jacob Thomas and Joe Russo…they entrusted me to bring my artistic perspective to their venue, so it is only right for me to return to where it all started.”
Born in Washington, DC, JiggyKorean found his passion for art at the tender age of nine. Since 2017, he has developed a unique style of black-and-white art in what he calls “Dramatic Pop Art.” Selling hundreds of his works, JiggyKorean continues to be featured in many exhibitions and is currently on tour with the infamous “Trap Music Museum” and God is Dope Gallery. In addition to his gallery tours, JiggyKorean has outfitted several restaurants and homes with his artistic narrative and continues to grow his brand RVRE CREATOR; a brand that bridges the gap between art and fashion.
