Miami Beach Bruthaz was founded in July 2006 as an annual summer lifestyle event for same gender loving men and women from across the country.
Through a series of social, knowledge-filled and personalized activities, this event promotes unity, camaraderie and a sense of belonging among its attendees.
Miami Beach Bruthaz (MBB) was founded in July 2006 as a culturally diverse, annual summer lifestyle event for same gender loving men from across the country. Our event is open to any and all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or orientation. A majority of our attendees are African-American and Hispanic men. The event is focused around a central theme: Knowledge, Culture and Fashion.
MBB hosts a variety of activities and events, including a “see and be seen” white masquerade party, a hip hop lover’s jam, an all-day rooftop pool party on Ocean Drive, one of the hottest Brazilian parties on South Beach featuring House and Tribal beats, the signature Bruthaz SpeakUP event, a show-stopping men’s swimwear and underwear fashion show and so much more!
During our Bruthaz SpeakUp session, attendees are encouraged and supported in engaging in open dialogue about critical issues impacting the community. Previous topics of discussion have included depression in black gay men, navigating the journey through sexual identity, building healthy, loving relationships and identifying community support services.
The event is held the third weekend in July on South Beach and creates opportunities for attendees to enjoy a fun-filled, VIP-style weekend getaway on Miami Beach while building long-lasting friendships.
