SophiaToday, 15-year-old singer, songwriter Sophia Kameron premiered the official video for her inspiring debut single titled “Connected.” Directed by the talented Trudy Bellinger, the video premiered today on YoungHollywood.com.
“Connected” is the first original single to be released by the American teenager who pens all of her own material. Equipped with an acoustic guitar and a quiet room, Sophia writes her music, drawing inspiration from her observations on the world around her.
Concerned that so many of her generation are becoming increasingly complacent and disconnected from their surroundings, often far more interested in their smart phones and social media networks. In her new single, Sophia urges listeners to pay attention to the world, our neighbors, while reminding us that ultimately, we are all the same. “It’s time to make a change.” Sophia sings, in this powerful, call-to-arms pop single. Quite the sentiment for any teenage artist to embrace in this day and age, given the current political climate we all face. Sophia isn’t one to simply channel her frustrations and ideals into just a song, recently the Phoenix-born solo artist has taken her message to the streets performing live in Washington, D.C and California with her band, Sophia also plans to take her set on the road very soon.
