Flexx Kapone began rapping at the age of 10 as a way of expressing himself & staying out of trouble. What became a hobby grew into a passion. He continued to write as it helped him to cope with the lack of a strong bond with his mother and the absence of his father. Flexx moved back and forth from different regions of Mississippi & Memphis during his early life & to deal with the constant change he became more serious about his music. He felt that music symbolized some form of stability in his ever-changing surroundings & the constant obstacles he faced. Flexx hopes to bring his pain & real life experiences into his music to give listeners an understanding of where he has been & to give the story of a true underdog who overcame all odds to reach his dream.
