Burns Original Bar-B-Que, 1501 Certified Ent., Slim Thug & The BossLife Foundation Join Forces to Provide Over 2,200 Free Thanksgiving Meals To The Community

For decades The Burns’ family has given out free hot Thanksgiving dinners to the community on the Monday of Thanksgiving week. Monday, November 22, 201 The Burns’ family hosted their annual Thanksgiving community where they provided over 2,200 people with free dinners. The family collaborated with Slim Thug & The BossLife Foundation, and 1501 Certified, which was founded by the Co-Owner of Burns, Carl Crawford. Guests began lining up at 10:00 AM in preparation to receive smoked turkey, sausage, seafood dressing, dirty rice, corn, green beans, potato salad, and more.

Before the food was served, the Burns’ family and staff held a community prayer where they prayed over the food and gave words of inspiration to everyone to uplift them as they head into this holiday season. The event kicked off with good vibes and sounds provided by 97.9 The Box. Owners of Burns Original Bar-B-Que Cory and Carl Crawford, along with Slim Thug and BossLife Foundation, 1501 Certified Ent, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, and Radio One’s Yung Jas and Sky Houston worked together to serve plates to guests.
