ARKK Copenhagen: Asymtrix Mesh F-PRO90

After eighteen months of design development with countless creative decisions along the way, Nordic sneaker brand ARKK Copenhagen has unveiled its newest custom sole unit to-date—the F-PRO90— debuting on the all-new, highly anticipated ASYMTRIX MESH F-PRO90, which drops this Friday, October 05, 2018, 10 AM CET / 4 AM EST.

Pulling design inspiration from both modern streetwear and the beauty of the street itself—where the man-made and organic landscape collide—the all new Asymtrix Mesh F-PRO90 from ARKK is a study in how irregularity can be utilized to create a distinct kind of harmony. At first glance, the Asymtrix is simply a classic leather, retro- inspired lace up sneaker. But, upon closer inspection, the Asymtrix’s premium materials and slightly-off-center detailing reveal a number of intentional design decisions meant to challenge expectations and delight the true sneaker enthusiast. While the Asymtrix’s diagonal vamp detailing and perforated leather heel piece are direct references to ARKK’s original sneaker design—the Raven S-E15—the Asymtrix’s tonal, embroidered logos, off center heel and tongue tabs, and padded lining point to the next chapter for ARKK as an innovative sneaker brand.

“The Asymtrix is a design that the brand has been eagerly waiting to share with the world for more than a year,” explains ARKK Creative director Kasper Høj Rasmussen, “We talk a lot about the future of the brand and the direction our designs should go and, without question, we feel that this is the right way forward.”

Driving the ASYMTRIX into the future is the all-new, custom constructed F-PRO90 sole unit. Informed by the sneaker soles that the ARKK design team grew up within the 1990s, the F-PRO90 is engineered with an elevated, curvilinear, and retro-sporty silhouette. Constructed with a waste-free, injected EVA midsole and a classic rubber outsole, key design details of the F-PRO90 include: a branded, multi-pattern outsole tread, an ultra-smooth midsole form, an embossed ARKK logo on the heel. Comfortable, versatile, and highly durable, the F-PRO90 from ARKK Copenhagen combines future-proof design with more than a touch of retro streetwear swagger.
