I love the excitement of a new show and NBC has one for us to get ready for.
“Transplant” centers on Dr. Bashir “Bash” Hamed (played by Hamza Haq, “Quantico”), a Syrian doctor with battle-tested skills in emergency medicine who fled his country with his younger sister Amira. Together, they struggle to build a new life in Canada as Bash strives to rebuild his career in medicine.
In addition to Haq, the series stars Laurence Leboeuf (“The Disappearance”) as the ferociously analytical second year resident “Dr. Magalie LeBlanc,” Jim Watson (“Mary Kills People”), as the kind-hearted Pediatric Emergency Fellow “Dr. Theo Hunter,” Ayisha Issa (“Polar”), as a reserved, ambitious surgical resident “Dr. June Curtis,” and John Hannah (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) as the legendary head of the Emergency Department “Dr. Jed Bishop.”
Creator Joseph Kay serves as executive producer along with Jocelyn Deschenes, Bruno Dube, Randy Lennox, Virginia Rankin, Jeremy Spry and Tara Woodbury.
Developed at CTV, “Transplant” is produced by Sphere Media in association with CTV and NBCUniversal International Studios, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios. NBCUniversal Global Distribution handles worldwide distribution for the series.
