Chairlift will hit the road on a headlining tour in support of their new album Moth, out now via Columbia Records. The tour kicks off on March 19th in Los Angeles with stops including Double Door in Chicago on April 2nd, and Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York on April 10th Get tickets and more information HERE.
The ten song album, featuring cover art by Rebecca Bird, includes much-lauded single “Ch-Ching” as well as the catchy follow-up track “Romeo,” both of which were named Best New Music by Pitchfork and are in rotation on SiriusXMU. The album also contains the emotional track “Crying In Public” which premiered to positive reception on Rookie as well as “Moth to the Flame” which debuted on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe as a World Record.
An evolution from their last album, 2012’s Something, Moth proves to be an emotionally uninhibited and markedly stronger, more pop inspired body of work. A very New York City inspired album, listeners can expect to be led through an aural mix of big, rich pop-inspired hooks, vibrating bass, lively brass and sensuous R&B inspired vocals, all anchored in the duo’s meticulously crafted instrumentation.
