Not getting enough of Nicki Minaj in the press?

Well thank Kate Angelo (Sex Tape and The Bernie Mac Show) and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment for the extra dosage of Harajuku Barbie.

Minaj is set to to produce and appear in a comedy series for ABC Family based on her life growing up in Queens, New York.

She studied acting in high school, eager to pursue an acting career prior to the launch of her successful music career. Minaj made her acting debut with a voice role in Ice Age: Continental Drift. Following, she co-starred in The Other Woman  as well as starring in the upcoming movie Barbershop 3.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” said Minaj. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”

The network has given the show a 30 minute episode series commitment. Set to begin the shooting in winter.
