It’s Time for “Lights, Camera, Action” with Victor Jackson

Just in time for the weekend…..

Victor Jackson takes us there with the release of his visual to “Lights, Camera, Action!”

R&B/Soul artist, Victor Jackson dedicated his latest EP, Man. Muse. Magic. , to the incredible Black women who have impacted his creative journey and the third video from his project is directed and produced by two of them. Lights, Camera, Action, directed by Maya Table and produced by Princess Mbunaze is causing a buzz since its debut this afternoon

Reflecting the beauty of classic Black romance films, Lights, Camera, Action takes Victor from the nervous anticipation of an audition room to the intimate ease of sharing space with a lover. “I grew up watching Love & Basketball and The Best Man but it wasn’t until Noah’s Arc: Jumping The Broom that I saw people who look and love like me onscreen,” says Victor. “Then Moonlight completely changed the game and I hope this video can contribute to the visibility of Black queer love in tv, film, and music.”

Lights, Camera, Action director, Maya Table, was Victor’s first dance agent representing him through the agency she managed while earning her degree in Georgia State’s film program. Maya is now a sought-after director, producer, and editor with credits ranging from Janelle Monae, Travis Scott, and Saucy Santana to brands like Head & Shoulders. Her short film, Dating App was recently acquired by Fox Soul and premiered through their Screening Room series hosted by Vivica Fox. Victor met Princess Mbunaze in the dance studios of Atlanta and eventually booked her to tour with August Alsina. Her dance career gave her the tools to transition to producing and her clients now include Teyana Taylor, Future, and 2 Chainz. She also produced the infamous City Girls performance from the 2020 BET Awards.

Victor ended 2020 releasing the music video to Venom and kicked off 2021 with the release of He Belongs To The City featuring 20 Black-owned brands and businesses in its music video. The release of Lights, Camera, Action marks the third visual offering from Victor’s EP and the momentum of this project continues to propel forward. “The world has changed a lot over the last year but one thing that has remained is the power of music. It unifies us, encourages us, and reminds us that love is possible. Whether on-screen or in real life, the possibilities of love are endless.”
