Black Girls Rock!!! In Real Life

Today we celebrate democracy and the transition of power from one administration to the next. As we usher in the Biden-Harris Administration, we can’t deny the impact that Black voters had in Election 2020, particularly Black women who voted overwhelmingly at 90% for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

There’s no denying that Black Girls Vote!

On this day we celebrate the possibilities of the future. Little Black girls and boys all over the country will see a representation of themselves in Washington, DC. They will know that an HBCU grad holds one of the most powerful positions in the world and it’s ok to continuously fight for what you believe in.

Black Girls Vote is eager to see what specific policies the Biden-Harris Administration will bring forth to uplift the Black community around education, economics, health care and voting rights. Black Girls Vote is also calling in the administration to work with us to identify internship and fellowship opportunities for black girls.

As we celebrated the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., just a few days ago,  it is he who said “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

I’m excited to share Black Girls Vote’s 2020 Annual Report, detailing all of our voter engagement, advocacy, and education efforts in the historic year. Team Black Girls Vote is immensely proud of what we accomplished in 2020, and we look and move forward to all 2021 has in store!
