Project Moses Seeks His “Missing Half” in First Single Release Off Better Man Album

Project Moses explores the tumultuous relationship he had with his now deceased father in “Missing Half,” the first single and music video release from his new visual album, Better Man.    The ominous ballad is meant to convey the sometimes-conflicting feelings many people have for the people who raised them.  “The idea for the song came to me after my dad died in a car accident,” Project Moses reveals.  “It forced me to reflect on a relationship that wasn’t always good.  One that left me with a lot of emotional and psychological scars.  Yet, through it all, I still love my dad and was left feeling broken inside by his sudden death.”  In Better Man, Project Moses reunites with producer Zach Adam.   Each single on the album explores the different relationships that have shaped Project Moses into the man he is today.  Project Moses’ “Missing Half” is available now on Apple iTunes, Amazon, and all other major music retailers, as well as for streaming through Spotify and Apple Music. The Better Man album releases Fall 2020.

“I grew up in Israel in a very conservative family,” Project Moses continues.  “My dad was a very strict disciplinarian. I would be grounded and punished for every little thing.  My musical interests were discouraged.   My personal interests were discarded.  But I admired him and mimicked him as best I could to earn his love.  Unfortunately, as I matured and could no longer ignore the true man I was inside, our values began to clash.”

Zach Adam directed and filmed the music video for “Missing Half”.  Shot mostly in black and white, it depicts Project Moses wandering in New York’s Central Park and along the city streets.  Everywhere he goes, he is haunted by shadows of his father.  “It’s meant to reflect how even while I continue working to understand the affect my relationship with my dad has had on my life, he is and always will be there as ultimately, he remains within me.”

“My hope is that people who listen to the Better Man album are inspired to feel hope and are driven to make changes to better themselves,” Project Moses reflects.  “After all, it’s not where you come from but where you’re going to that matters.  Even if you’re not exactly sure how to get there yet, it’s about the journey.”
