Get Ready for #OUTLOUD

The award-winning live event production company JJ|LA has partnered with South by Southwest® (SXSW®) to produce #OUTLOUD, the celebrated festival’s first-ever LGBTQIA+ Pride Artist Showcase. A diverse lineup of queer talent making an impact in the music industry will perform March 17 at the Mohawk Austin as part of the 2020 SXSW Music Festival. Some of the country’s leading Pride organizations, including Austin, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Diego, have signed on as Community Pride Partners for this landmark Showcase.

Headlined by Betty Who, #OUTLOUD will feature Madame Gandhi, COBRAH, Flavia, SWSH, La Doña, Bang Bang Romeo, pineappleCITI, CAPYAC, Ryan Cassata and Ariel View. Featuring indoor and outdoor stages, the event will run from 7 PM – 2 AM with SXSW Music and Platinum badge priority entrance.

“This first-ever #OUTLOUD Artist Showcase features an impressive lineup of talented established and up-and-coming performers who are making their mark in the world, and we are proud to partner with SXSW and provide a stage to help raise these creative voices even higher,” said Jeff Consoletti, Founder and CEO, JJ|LA. “#OUTLOUD and its Community Partners are focused on promoting love, acceptance, inclusiveness, identity and support by bringing all people together in this colorful celebration of community.”

#OUTLOUD was originally conceived by Consoletti and his business partner Artie Kenney, Founder of AKT Agency Inc., which serves as a sister-agency and the talent booking arm for JJ|LA. AKT books talent for over 100 events annually and handled all talent booking for this new Pride Artist Showcase. More information about #OUTLOUD will be available at www.WeAreOutloud.com.

“We are thrilled that the first-ever #OUTLOUD Pride Artist Showcase is happen right here in Austin at the 2020 SXSW Music Festival, reflecting the inclusivity and creativity that is so important to this city and the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation,” said Austin Pride.

“As LA Pride celebrates their 50th Anniversary this year, we are celebrating the past, present and future of the LGBTQ+ movement. United as one movement with #OUTLOUD, we look forward to showcasing continued visibility for the LGBTQ+ community through live experiences,” said Estevan Montemayor, Board President, Christopher Street West.

“Phoenix Pride’s mission to unite, educate, and engage people to support and empower the LGBTQ+ community and our allies aligns perfectly with #OUTLOUD, and we congratulate SXSW for this first-ever Pride Artist Showcase,” said Michael Fornelli, Executive Director, Phoenix Pride.

“Centering and honoring the artistic contributions of the LGBTQ community is an important and often overlooked part of our movement. We are excited to see SXSW take that work and our community seriously with their new #OUTLOUD Artist Showcase,” said Fernando Z. Lopez, Executive Director, San Diego LGBT Pride.
