Before you press play let me let you know that Malachiae hit us with the Vocals, Dance Moves, and Swagg all up in this video. The sound we have grown to love from the artist is captivating as he puts his moves on the leading lady.
Southwest Atlanta’s own, Malachiae, releases his video for his new recording, “Try To Love”. The Motown Records-signed phenom serves up romantic melodic vocals with the backing of trap 808s. The nostalgic track has a smooth heartfelt feel serving us with a fresh R&B sound while making him a powerful vocal force in the Hip-Hop & R&B game.
Directed by Malachi Lee (DaniLeigh, Earthgang, Big K.R.I.T) the video is a beautiful portrait of love and conflict. Paired with Malachiae’s strong vocals and wise-beyond-his-years lyrics, it could not be clearer that Malachiae got his start singing in the church.
Although Malachiae grew up on rap music, he has always had a love and affinity for R&B. On confessional verses, he declares in a smooth alluring voice yet rapper attitude, “Don’t act like I ain’t changed your life, because we both know the truth.” The singer/songwriter/producer is a breath of fresh air to the R&B genre that has lacked the sensitivity and sensuality of classic R&B.
