“A lot of times, we consider ourselves the LGBTQ ‘community,’ but we really don’t play with each other — there are so many subcultures when it comes to the queer and trans community and you don’t see gay and lesbian and transgender and nonbinary people actually in one space expressing themselves authentically,” Sean Torrington, founder and CEO of Slay TV, tells Billboard. “I really wanted to create a space where I can see everyone enjoying each other and having a great time.”
