What is Acne?
Let’s face it we all dread seeing a breakout on our face. We start to immediately to freak out and want to dissect the breakout. The breakout, better known as acne is caused by some form of irritation that some of us don’t even know existence. It can be dry damaged or dead skin, lack of proper hydration , or even an clogged pore due to oily skin. Whichever it is, DON’T PICK IT. Peeling or Picking in your skins face only makes the acne worse overtime and leaves a mark. What happens is the acne can’t breathe nor heal with the consistent irritation you are causing from the germs/dirt from your hands. Common types of acne include pimples, blackheads, and any other bump causing discoloring to the skin. Acne occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells which causes irritation. You don’t have to stress over ACNE! There are plenty of ways to prevent as well as treat mild to severe acne. Let’s start with what cause acne on our skin.
If you experience any of these factors on a daily or weekly basis chances are you may be dealing with acne right now. Treating acne can be as simple as a facial regiment or even a one spot treatment sold over the counter. Whichever you decide the key is the kill the cause of acne or what is started from. If you think that it’s to much for you to handle please consult an Aesthetician or Dermatologist for a proper diagnosis.
Acne is not the end of the world and though it may look like it by the size of your outbreak, it can be saved! Treating acne can start in the comfort of your own home or bathroom but if your not seeing clear results in 2 weeks you should consult an Esthetician or Dermatologist for more in depth explanation. Once you see acne on your face the first thing you want to do is touch it. STOP! That In fact adds to the problem. Popping a pimple may seem like the fastest way to clear it, but popping it can actually make things worse. Every time you touch, pick, or pop, you can worsen acne from the core of its follicle. The best way at home treatment is to try 1 or 2 products, and give them time to work. Trying too many products can stress your skin, worsening acne. When using at home products the number one thing you want to remember is FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. While using an acne treatment can seem pretty straightforward, how much you use and how often you use it can make a huge difference. Give the product time to work. On average a new product takes 2-4 weeks to see noticeable results. Give your skin time enough to heal from all the impurities that have been formed on your skin.
Another misconception with acne is over washing your face. Acne-prone skin is sensitive and washing more than twice a day can irritate your skin, making acne worse.
