The gang is back in Huntsville after their Miami getaway for Maurice and Kimmi’s wedding, and each couple unpacks their things while breaking down the weekend. The newlyweds open up some of their gifts and have a good laugh at the sexy leather corset that Miss Wanda (Tisha’s mother) gave them. They also unwrap a trinket of glass birds that comes from The Holt’s. Although the gesture is nice, Maurice and Kimmi can’t help but laugh at the odd choice of wedding gift from two of their closest friends.
Meanwhile, Tisha uses the return from Miami as a fresh start and tells Marsau that she is ready to accept job interviews. As always, Marsau is less than thrilled about changing the status quo and pleads with Tisha to reconsider. Tisha sticks to her word and promptly lands an interview at a highly respected brokerage firm. During the interview, however, Tisha awkwardly answers a couple of questions and briefly wonders if Marsau may have been right after all.
Given their struggles at home, Melody and Martell are eager to get back to work — the one place where they can get along and still function as a team. At the office, the Holts get a call from Richard, the lender working on The Comeback Group’s loan. He informs the Holts that the loan will be rejected and that the numbers aren’t adding up correctly. It’s revealed that only four people have signed onto the loan, while Maurice and Marsau have mysteriously left themselves off. The Holts are shocked and confused and decide to call an emergency Comeback Group meeting to get to the bottom of it.
When confronted about the issue with the loan, both of the Scott couples explain that their very first contracts clearly state that Maurice and Marsau would not be listed on the loan. It appears as though Melody and Martell just didn’t read the contract carefully enough, which leads to a nasty back and forth over who is right and who doesn’t listen. Eventually, Melody demands a vote on whether to carry on with The Comeback Group or dissolve it for good. Melody makes her vote clear: She is ready to carry out the initiative by herself if she needs to.
Despite their differences, the guys still have their flag football team and Martell, Maurice and Marsau hit the field for their weekly game. With his son, Tank, cheering on from the sidelines, former college star Martell comes up lame while playing quarterback. Martell is confident he tore his Achilles tendon and has to call Melody to come pick up their son so he can drive to the hospital. Melody shows up to the rescue but makes it clear that she is not pleased with the idea of taking care of Martell now that he needs her. As Maurice and Marsau help their injured friend into his car, Martell realizes he left his “second phone” on the field. The Scott brothers are left in disbelief — it seems as though Martell’s days of sneaking around aren’t quite over.
