You ready for some new heat? You know I always have my ear to what’s going on in the streets. Recently, while I was in Miami for Super Bowl, a friend of mine introduced me to the sounds of Zenden Lavon with his latest release entitled “Blue Dream.”
I must admit, it was one of them tracks that we ended up vining to all weekend long. Naturally, I had to bring it to you all. Just remember, you heard it here first!
Previously a resident of Germany, D.C., Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and a current resident of Los Angeles, Zenden credits his experience of living in several different countries as the driving force behind many of his concept-driven projects.
As an artist heavily influenced by Bob Marley, Andre 3000, and Jay-Z, Zenden prides himself on creating songs that are lyrically sophisticated, while keeping the Jazz influence that was evident on his album ‘Be Vol. 1.’
“Blue Dream” is a smooth, melodic track that chronicles finding peace of mind through the chaos, and accessing one’s serenity. Zenden’s distinct delivery and flow over an Emani & Enok beat creates feel-good vibes and serves as a reminder of Zenden’s lyrical prowess and refreshing artistry.
As Zenden raps about finding tranquility, the accompanying Bear Witness-shot visual paints a broader picture of conquering the day even through life’s craziness.
