Get ready to groove because R&B sensation Eric Benét is slated to headline the 19th Annual Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival, a star-studded event presented by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). Scheduled for Saturday, March 9th in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, this annual extravaganza draws over 2,000 attendees and raises a staggering $2 million for 13 local nonprofits dedicated to HIV/AIDS services in South Florida.
Joining Benét on stage will be YouTube phenomenon Todrick Hall and internationally renowned DJ/producer DJ Citizen Jane, promising a lineup that will keep the crowd dancing all day long.
With a career spanning decades, Eric Benét has solidified his status as an icon in the world of R&B. From his debut with Warner Bros. Records in 1994 to his chart-toppers like his new EP “Spend My Life with You”, titled from hit single from his 1999 album “A Day in the Life,” Benét’s soulful voice has captivated audiences worldwide. His talent extends beyond music, with notable appearances in television shows and films like “For Your Love” and “Glitter.” With an impressive discography including albums like “Hurricane,” “Love & Life,” and “Lost in Time,” Benét has garnered four GRAMMY nominations and numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Eric Benét is a committed activist and philanthropist. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he lent his voice to the charity single “Heart of America” alongside with Wynonna Judd, Terry Dexter, and Michael McDonald, to aid victims of the disaster. Additionally, Benét co-founded Mission Save Her, a nonprofit dedicated to combating human trafficking and sexual abuse of women and girls globally.
