Wendy Stuart will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with the creators of the Jersey City Pride Fabulous Short Film and Video Festival (Tym Moss, Ike Avelli, Lady Clover Honey and Jed Ryan).
TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.This episode is a replay of one of the Best Of Triversity Talk shows from the past.
TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community.
Synopsis: What would Jersey City Pride be without an LGBTQ Film Festival? Meet four of the players, who thought this was a great idea, to produce a shorts film festival that creates community and safe spaces, and entertains. With backgrounds as performers, entertainers, producers, and directors, not to mention friends, they’ll be celebrating their own work as well as their fellow film makers.

Ike Avelli
ke Avelli is a comedian, writer, and performer who has written, produced, and starred in over a dozen original productions, such as “I’ve Slept My Way to the Top…Twice”, “I Thought I Would Be Dead By Now”, “Lube: A Gay-sical”, and “50 Shades of Gay”, which received critical acclaim and sold-out performances across the U.S.
He co-hosts the popular podcast “Loose Lips”, which was nominated for the 2024 People’s Choice Podcast Awards.
Ike has received multiple nominations and awards, including the Get Out Magazine LGBTQ Comedian of the Year (2014 and 2023) and the 2018 Providence Fringe Award for 50 Shades of Gay.
He has appeared on various talk and radio shows both in the U.S. and internationally.
A strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, he has performed for organizations like LIFEbeat, the Imperial Court of NY, and GMHC.
He is known for his bold, creative, and often irreverent comedic style, drawing inspiration from icons like Joan Rivers and Whoopi Goldberg.
Lady Clover Honey
Lady Clover Honey aka Clover Welsh is a Gender fluid entertainer. She’s graced notable hotspot stages from The Copacabana, Caroline’s, and The Pyramid Club. She even conducted an orchestra and sing-along at a sold-out Carnegie Hall! Before TV’s DRAG RACE, Clover was putting Drag on TV as a news correspondent on “Under the Pink Carpet” reporting on the Nightlife scene on WNYE, the official television station of New York City. She also replaced Lady Bunny in the hit comedy “When Joey Married Bobby” on off-Broadway. Also an indie Filmmaker, she wrote, produced and starred in award-winning films including “Modest Male Exposure” and the Horror cult flick “Drag to Death.”
Jed Ryan
A native and proud New Yorker, Jed Ryan has been a freelance writer and photographer with a focus on LGBTQ issues since 1994, when printed magazines and film cameras were still very much the norm. He won The Stonewall Society Pride in the Arts Awards “Reviewer of the Year” Award in 2005 and The Pride in the Arts “MOJO” Award in 2010. Through the years, his writings and photographs have appeared in a wide variety of both print magazines and websites, which included his being a Contributor for Huffington Post from 2015 through 2018. Jed now writes for his own online magazine, Lavender After Dark. His face has appeared on the covers of Bear World and Bear Mais (More Bear), for which he was the first American to appear on the cover of that Brazilian magazine. Most recently, Jed has moved into filmmaking. Jed is also a Medical-Surgical Certified Registered Nurse who just celebrated his 25th year at a large teaching hospital in New York City. But his proudest achievement is his 10-year marriage to Joseph Aiello. They live in Queens, New York with their pet weasel Skerritt.
