Allow me to introduce you to Massachusetts-based artist Izzy Heltai, whose forthcoming LP Father is set for release on October 9th. Izzy, who is trans, offers a unique view on the complicated process of becoming who you’re meant to be. And I think we all can relate to that!
Izzy’s newest single, the album’s title track, released this Friday. The song is about learning the world isn’t black and white, but rather a full-color spectrum, and also recognizing that we are an amalgam of those who have raised us. Those folks make mistakes, but there’s still beauty in that. The video features childhood footage of Izzy – carefree, innocent, and oblivious to the hardships of the world.
