I’m excited because in a little over 2 weeks, Baltimore will continue a long-held tradition of honoring and celebrating Black LGBTQ+ life in the city. With roots going back into the 80s, Baltimore Black Pride has served as an opportunity for all of us to come together and appreciate how far we’ve come–as a community as well as a society more broadly. Additionally, I’m excited because the Center for Black Equity gets another opportunity to bring us all together and strengthen our connections to one another. They have some great events lined up this year and I look forward to attending and seeing you there!
Come network, dance, and enjoy light refreshments at the community opening celebration. Our community partners will also provide critical services: FreeState Justice will provide gender ID and name change consultations on site & the MD LGBT Chamber of Commerce will provide entrepreneur 101 session for all those looking to start or grow your own business!
Come and join us as we explore healing our individual and collective traumas from a Black LGBTQ+ perspective. We will explore different healing strategies, the interconnections of our race, gender, and sexual identity and how it relates to our health, wholeness, and how we love. This event is hosted by the Rooted Collective. This event is free and open to the public! Please rsvp because space is limited. RSVP: HERE.
All are welcome to join us as we honor 8 local leaders who tirelessly work to ensure that our community has key resources and a seat at the table. We will have music and dancing following a very brief recognition ceremony. Please come out and celebrate together!
Looking for a family friendly event? This is for you! We invite Black LGBTQ+ families with children to come and have a good time in a family-friendly environment. We will have games, face painting, and other fun activities for youth. We will be grilling out!
