Taking time out of their busy schedules, I recently had the opportunity to catch up with Kyng and Qui from “Da Royal Couch.” This one was very exciting for me. Kyng and Qui have an amazing platform and I was excited to get to know what lead them to create it, as well as what they were like off camera. babeeeeeee, when I tell you we carried. Hosted by Marquis “Qui” Smith and Juan “Kyng“ Rivera both young LGBT entrepreneurs Da Royal Couch is a LGBT web based talk show which series are broadcasted on Facebook Live. The series was developed as a talk show designed to appeal to all viewers but focused on supporting LGBT viewers who, like the co-hosts, are entrepreneurs.
The show was originally created as a source of exposure for rising LGBT company King Ent. which Juan and Marquis started April of 2017 and was to be more comedic but once the first episode aired, January 24th featuring former ”Prancing Elite“ cast member Jerel Maddox, ended in over 2000 views the company knew the show would would be more.
With that in mind the two CEO’s started searching for other LGBT entrepreneurs concentrating more on upcoming entrepreneurs to interview. Guests were music artist, drag queens, transgenders,fashion designers, YouTube sensations, reality tv stars and more.
From season 1 to season 2, Da Royal Couch has interviewed some of the best! RuPaul Drag race star, Miss Jasmine Masters who has been on both seasons. Sharaya J and Lex Lu from Fox’s hit show The Four. Miss Ada Vox, drag queen finalist on American Idol. Hip hop music group CMENT Boot. Jewel Tankard from reality show Thicker then water. Transgender entrepreneur Ari the Barbie. Love and Hip Hop stars Malik and AD just to name a few. Ending Season 2 with a combine total over 30k views
With hot topics, promotion and special guests the show has become a huge hit.
The success of the show brought many different avenues for the 2 kings. Their dedication to supporting the lgbt community and their ability to spread joy, Da Royal Couch has been in high demand being booked at various locations. The show is currently on their #BOOKDNBUZY hosting various Pride events And is in works with Triangle Empowerment Center to add STD and HIV/AIDS advocacy under their belt.
This show was made out of love and has continued to support local and nationwide entrepreneurs. The mission is to show love and give light to everyone because that’s how Da Royal Couch with Qui and Kyng has stayed relevant and running. These 2 young men have made it their goal to give back every ounce they have to give back to their community and show the world love and support from one another is all we need.
