Vamp A femme fatale character in movies or books. The character is a woman who, while not necessarily attractive, has a certain allure (usually this striking, exotic, overtly sexy glamour), and is usually a heartless, man-eating seductress. (source: Urban Dictionary Online)

The time has come to re-define the definition of Vamp. As of today, when you think Vamp think of Nyla Vamp. This female Rap Artist is Light, Tight and All Things Right. She is the reason your man stays up late and the reason a straight girl may wonder. With bars so slick she makes Rick look sticky. Get ready as I take you up close and personal with the Femme Fatale named Nyla Vamp.

Diamond Kesawn: Do me this favor Nyla Vamp; for those who may have been under a rock, I want you to do the official Nyla Vamp Introduction let us know who you are.

Nyla Vamp: I’m Nyla Vamp I’m currently living in Atlanta but I’m from Los Angeles I came out here to pursue a career in entertainment industry and I had somebody discover me on Facebook and they relocated me out here that’s pretty much how I got into a lot of networking and hard work that started me on my way.

Diamond Kesawn: Being the artist that you are, how did Nyla Vamp get into music, did you just wake up and decide to do it, have you been talented from birth or was it something that you kind of grew into over time?

Nyla Vamp: I’m definitely an artistic person so I did grow up singing and dancing. Actually I wanted to write stories but I didn’t have the attention span then to really write a whole story so I started writing poetry, and then eventually I met girls who rapped and that’s how I started getting into rapping and making music.

Diamond Kesawn: Since walking into the industry and now you’ve been doing it for a while, how did it feel to be in your element and really be in your element, you’re not trying, you’re not faking, you’re doing it?

Nyla Vamp: It’s really nice, people always ask me if I’m nervous, really I’m just being myself honestly though big shout out to Rein and The Sheridan Group for giving me a chance because since we teamed up, it really has propelled me forward and I love the fact that I can be myself and I can be happy and be right in my element, be right along with people who understand and get me in my life style.

Diamond Kesawn: How would you describe your music to this team base, obviously you told the story but are you a rap artist or did you create like this- Nyla Vampism?

Nyla Vamp: Nyla Vamp itself is like just like my brand- a lot of people think vamp is like vampire but really vamp is more in the classics- like a woman, the sexuality. I approach entertainment being myself and being real.

Diamond Kesawn:  Here at RA Mag, the fans have tweeted, the fans have instagrammed and the fans have emailed and they want to know a few things. Question number one. If you can do a song with any male rap artist who is hot right now, who would it be and why?

Nyla Vamp: With any male rap artist who’s hot right now, Chris Brown because he sings and raps. That would definitely be a hot track with him and me.

Diamond Kesawn: Question number two, when Nyla Vamp is at home and she’s not out vamping, what’s the one thing you do that nobody would ever think you do?

Nyla Vamp: When Nyla is not working on everything, and my make-up is off,  I’m going to  be here watching old black and white movies, or alternative classic movie clips.

Diamond Kesawn: Question number three, if you could have any industry boo you want for one night please Nyla Vamp tell me who.

Nyla Vamp: Romeo.

(Yes Gawd Hunni. Romeo is that oneeeee… Okray)

Diamond Kesawn: Being a young beautiful female and representing a positive image to the public, what are those words of encouragement that you have for the younger females in middle school and high school reading this interview who are listening to your music see you and are like. “Wow she’s doing it and this is what I’m going to do when I grow up.”

Nyla Vamp: For one I’d definitely say, be yourself and don’t be sad about the person that you’re ready to present to the world because people want to be entertained, so no need to be sad and scared of any opportunity because they want you to put on a show. Be confident in that and then I’ll also say that trust in intuition. I think as women sometimes we know when something is not right, if something doesn’t seem right it’s really important to go with that instinct. If it doesn’t feel right to you don’t do it.

Diamond Kesawn: When we talk about this music what’s going on currently, what’s coming up?

Nyla Vamp: Right now we’re about to hit fourth quarter so I’m trying to go ahead and get a video so that my single has a visual. After that get it out on radio, I’m going to get the big guys together in the studio and then I’m going use this last quarter to go ahead and put together an EP so that when January comes I could hit the ground with it.

Diamond Kesawn: Give me a hint what kind of an EP will Nyla Vamp be putting together for her fans?

Nyla Vamp:  I think right now I’m going to be giving you a preview to me as to who I am, one element that a lot of my new music has is really soulful and encouragement from my heart and I’m going to be doing some collaborations with some great writers and I really just want you guys to be able to put in a CD and with every track see a different side of me and get a complete story of who I am.

Diamond Kesawn: Nyla let them know please the website, the twitter, the instagram, wherever they can find you, your space, my space, any space girl put it out there.
