As one of the most charismatic leaders of the new R&B generation, Josh Waters returns with the release of “Waves” ft. Xiamara Jennings.
Since his transition to Atlanta, Waters has teamed up with some heavyweight producers and songwriters at BNDWTH studios including WLPWR (Eminem, Big Krit, The Game, Yelawolf, and Big Krit), Kevin Cossom (Beyonce, Rihanna, Nipsey Hustle), Marquis Rashad (YK Osiris, Chris Brown, Rotimi), Grammy award winning production duo Milk & Sizz and more. The development resulted in over 60 records being done, which were narrowed down to 52 records, to be released every Wednesday of 2020.
As single number 37 out of the 52 record release, “Waves” isn’t the typical love song. It embodies and illustrates the vulnerable space that one walks through when falling in love. “In 2020, in this time and space that we’re in, most women don’t have an issue submitting to men, but men aren’t man enough for women to want to submit to them. ‘Waves‘ showcases that vulnerable space and idea of properly being led by a man”, says Waters.
