The Miami-born rapper known as Yung Trilly was born Kierra Dickens-Davis on October 23, 1997, in Miami, FL, to Ebony Dickens. She is also known as Nicky Beats and the Trap Girl. Trilly is from Miami but was raised in Atlanta, GA. Her original stage name, Trillselda Blanco, stems from her childhood love and admiration of Griselda Blanco. She later changed it to Yung Trilly out of respect for the deceased QueenPin.
Trilly is gradually trying to establish herself as one of rap’s greatest and most successful young female rappers. She cites her main influences as the hip-hop artists she spent her youth listening to.
While in high school, Yung Trilly worked as a Professional Celebrity Makeup Artist, which is where she is known as both Nicky Beats and the Trap Girl. She was lucky to make the acquaintance of several male rap artists, reality show stars, national DJ’s and upcoming producers. With her creative mind, she envisioned producing her first mixtape with the concept of a psychedelic Alice in Wonderland.
After graduating high school, Trilly began seriously concentrating her efforts on her music career. She began working on her mixtape and released her first single, Dope Boy, where she sampled Play Boy Carti’s “Broke Boy”, produced by JStewOnTheBeat. The buzz around this new talented female rapper started to build and influence the music industry, so much so, she began to notice music industry insiders were sitting up and taking notice. By now, Yung Trilly is really building up a reputation as the one to watch in rap and hip-hop.
Trilly also has successful roles in popular web series and mini-movies such as Between Women, StudvilleTV, and the short film, Trippin’ (2016).
Trilly will continue to grow as an artist and is privileged she will be working with many producers nationwide, hoping to enter the mainstream in the near future.
