Black Tie Gala w/ Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Miss Sophia & More

The Vision Community Foundation is set to host it’s 7thannual Black-Tie Gala at Atlanta City Hall on Friday, June 22, 2018. Hosted by Bishop Oliver Clyde Allen III, Rashad Burgess and Lakara Foster, the annual celebration honors a select group of individuals and organizations that have made outstanding achievements in the arts, media, ministry, community service and government arenas throughout their lifetime. Immediately following the gala will be an after party, at the downtown Atlanta Marriott Marquis, with sounds by legendary disc jockey, DJ Sedrick.

The 2018 honorees include Mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms, singer/actress Tisha Campbell-Martin (“Martin”), director/actress/philanthropist Terri J. Vaughn (“Steve Harvey Show”), actor TC Carson (“Greenleaf”), Lifetime’s “Project Runway Allstars” winner, Anthony Williams, founder of The Black AIDS Institute, Phil Wilson, Radio Personality, Miss Sophia (“V103 Atlanta”) and chief executive of the LGBT and HIV/AIDS group TruEvolution, Gabriel Maldonado.

The Black-Tie Gala will include special appearances by Melissa “DJ M” Scott (“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”), Miss Lawrence (“STAR”), Gee Smalls (“The Gentlemen’s Foundation”), Derek Jae and more.

The Vision Community Foundation is a 501(C)(3) created to impact and transform the LGBTQI++ community by educating, creating awareness and implementing STI/STD prevention methods using all forms of millennial media and marketing tools. The mission of the foundation is to empower people mentally, emotionally, educationally, socially and economically.

As a community-based organization, the foundation is inclusive of all people, fully embracing people of every race, gender, culture, sexual orientation, family configuration, physical & or mental condition, and all other distinctions which the rich tapestry of the human family are. The Vision Community Foundation Inc. has provided support services for the greater Atlanta Community for over 7 years. Feeding thousands of women, men and children through their Bread Of Life Program, tested hundreds and linking reactive(s) to health care through their in-house HIV/AIDS programs and initiatives, addressed Women’s Health through Breast Cancer walks and awareness projects, provided education and training through their GED programs and improved the lives of their local communities through LGBT initiatives partnered with Traxx Girls, Inc.
