|Aljam singer/Songwriter/Guitarist and leader of the Reggaelution Band also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psych-Therapy from Long Island University.|
He started his musical career years ago accompanying many Reggae Artists such as Ken Boothe, one of Jamaica’s leading vocalist, the late Glen Adams, Bob Marley’s original keyboard player, Sister Carrol, the late Roman Stewart, Leroy Sybbles and Earl Morgan from one of the top Rock Steady Tro from Jamaica, Marcia Aitkins, Keeling Beckford, Ed Robinson, just to name a few. Aljam also played in many groups around the NY areas and started his own musical group Reggaelution Band. Reggaelution Band was the leading band that brought Reggae to the Hamptons in Long Island during the early 90s. Aljam and the Reggaelution Band was featured in a 2 month run Off-Broadway Reggae Play by Blackbird Production. This play was covered and endorsed by the New York Times, The Village Voice, and the Daily News. Aljam & Reggaelution Band was also featured in Boston’s first Reggae Cabaret titled “One Love” by Tempest Theatrical Group. The Group also featured in the PBS movie “American Love Story” a 9 series documentary filmed in the Hamptons. Aljam & Reggaelution Band also produces 4 CDs “Love Affair”, “Don’t Give Up”, “Over The Years”, and recently “Journey From the Heart” all on Reggaelution Records.
